The arms are a bit heavy and pinching compared to some other high-end sunglasses. The glare protection is excellent, and both the top and bottom edges are darker which minimize the glare harshest rays. Best for high sun and very bright conditions, there are other shades I would go to on grey days with a lot of glare (such as skiing in anything else than bright sunlight or at dusk and dawn). They would be my go-shades for playing baseball or fishing when the sun is highest in the sky. Not particularly fashionable, more utilitarian which is fine. I like having a variety of sunglasses for different times of day and year, it is a luxury, and if I were to have only one pair for all purposes these would not be it. Still, equal to glasses costing twice as much.
